About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to support our warehouse and inventory operations. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working with systems like Microsoft Excel and Business Central.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, transfer orders, and packing slips
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders (freight and parcel), ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in Business Central
  • Investigate and resolve inventory and shipment discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout
  • Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and properly filed
  • Operate company shop truck (F450) as needed for local pickups/deliveries
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Excel (required)
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs

Senior Accountant – Houston, TX

Pay range:  $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year plus benefits 

The Senior Accountant role is based in our Houston office and supports the full Quantum Energy group, providing centralized accounting oversight across all U.S. and Canadian entities. You will work closely with the Controller and leadership team to ensure financial integrity, drive our ERP consolidation onto Microsoft Dynamics 365, and deliver the real-time financial visibility our operations depend on.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to maintain data integrity
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and regulatory filings in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion of all reporting requirements
  • Conduct accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and collections
  • Support internal controls compliance, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures, and assist with audit preparations and execution
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic planning initiatives
  • Perform technical accounting research related to new standards or complex transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial management projects, including cash management and payroll processing
  • Lead and manage the data migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across group entities
  • Configure and optimize Dynamics 365 modules including AP, AR, GL, project accounting, and intercompany transactions
  • Build and maintain Power BI reporting to support operational and executive decision-making at both the entity and group level
  • Identify and drive process improvements and system optimizations across the group finance function

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation (U.S. CPA) — required
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in corporate accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental accounting standards
  • Proven expertise in balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; experience with financial management tools is essential
  • Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and debits & credits management
  • Excellent financial concepts knowledge including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques
  • Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Strong analytical skills combined with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations — advanced proficiency required
  • QuickBooks — proficiency required (active migration environment)
  • Microsoft Excel — advanced level (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, financial modelling)
  • Power BI — experience building and maintaining dashboards for operational reporting
  • SAP or other ERP platforms — an asset
