Quantum started as a technology company. The plan was simple — sell upgraded EM telemetry, hops, and downhole sensors through directional drilling channels as their OEM. That plan worked internationally with Tier 1 service companies. In US Land, it didn’t.
The US directional drilling segment shut us out. They had margin pressure and sunk costs with oversupplied legacy Pulse MWD fleets, and no appetite to use limited Capex on anything but Rotary Steerable — even when operators wanted what we had. So we pivoted. Operators told us: if you can deliver the service, we’ll sign. In 2025, we did.
Our MWD is downhole today drilling wells for some of the most notable producers in the world, including Exxon/Imperial, BPX, Oxy, EOG and Cenovus. Our Leap system is active in 11 countries in onshore and offshore applications. As the MWD service of record, we hold multiple operator basin records. That’s not luck — that’s earned.
Two pillars — MESH™ and Leap™ — producing results.
Quantum MESH™ MWD services to replace your existing provider’s equipment and personnel.
EM is primary, backed up by our onboard dormant Pulse when needed — with our batting average across all basins at 94%.
We plug-in direct to select RSS (power, comms and EM downlinking) and provide wireless connection to the ones we don’t, such as Orbit/Neosteer, with a +95% real-time connection success rate on Babelfish.
Like your EM provider but need that extra little bit of help keeping EM signal working?
No problem — we provide independent call-out services for our unmatched offset-wellbore antenna system.
Our sub-surface EM network has the largest footprint in the US and connects to all EM systems — such as XEM and APS.
Quantum Leap™ holds three gold standards: the fastest wireless hop (1,000 bps peak), longest hop length (up to 200 ft), and highest uptime (99%). There’s a reason our Hop system is used around the globe — onshore and offshore — by some of the world’s biggest operators. We provide a universal connection to 3rd-party MWD tools; the major advantage is that a bottom-mount Pulse MWD is configured as normal with our Hop receiver at the top of the probe. We have established a partnership with Stabil Drill for a 30 ft Vanguard Isolator™ + flex NMDC combo.
Operators wanted the tech. The middlemen wouldn’t deliver it. So we went direct.
Whatever incentive structure aligns the rig and the operator on the same outcome. We don't bury revenue in unused tools or padded BHA spreads.
Predictable cost per spread day. Clean line item, no hidden BHA rentals.
Pay for what we drill. Aligns the rig and the tool on the same objective.
Skin in the game. VCL incremental success, curve times — we are game.
Different operators, different geology, same head-to-head result — Quantum runs vs prior-year offsets.
Quantum runs vs prior-year offsets.
Single-BHA footage record back-to-back — on consecutive runs. Operators repeat the program because the data repeats.
2025–26 YTD · 320 BHA head-to-head dataset.
+44% directional ROP, –26% curve time, +997 ft per directional BHA. Confirmed across DeWitt and La Salle.
12 Quantum runs vs 23 offsets.
Top 6 days of 24-hr footage in the program — all on Quantum. +34% total ROP across 12 runs vs 23 offsets.
