We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our Calgary office and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of embedded firmware for hardware-based systems. This role involves close collaboration with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance firmware.

Based in our Houston office, supporting the full Quantum Energy group with centralized accounting oversight across all U.S. and Canadian entities. You will work closely with the Controller and leadership team.

Shipper / Receiver (Inventory Control Focus)

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to support our warehouse and inventory operations at the Houston Foundry. Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working with systems like Microsoft Excel and Business Central.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, transfer orders, and packing slips
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders (freight and parcel), ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in Business Central
  • Investigate and resolve inventory and shipment discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout
  • Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and properly filed
  • Operate company shop truck (F450) as needed for local pickups/deliveries
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Excel (required)
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support team needs

A buffer between you and the field. If your firmware ships and a Permian rig calls at 2 a.m., that call comes to engineering — not a tier-1 support queue.
