The MWD that doesn't steal HP from the BHA.

Stop using an MWD that robs your hydraulic horsepower and only gives you 1 bps. You think that valve is good for your BHA? It’s constantly stalling your motor and drill bit — and it’s definitely not an “agitator for your BHA.”

We have the upgrade. MESH™ — EM-primary, Pulse-backup (dormant), decoded at surface typically at 4–24 bps with 32 bps peak. No moving parts in the flow path when EM is primary. Your motor and drill bit health improves, leading to longer runs, higher VCL success, and fewer BHAs per well.

Keep the geologist happy with higher gamma density. You’re crushing ROP, but your MWD has limited data rates to surface. No longer. Save time with surveys and downlinking during the connection, rather than waiting until pumps resume and compromising with some kind of “some survey info and toolfaces mixed in” so you can resume drilling. Ask your DD provider to update their speed… oh wait they can’t — they don’t own their technology, they only own the asset they bought off the shelf.

Stop compromising. Level up.

What Your Motor Sees

Mud-pulse backdrive.

It’s physics. To talk to surface, a Pulse system drops a valve into the flow path and chokes it down to make a pressure wave. That valve doesn’t care about the rest of your BHA — and the rest of your BHA pays the bill. The motor loses hydraulic HP. The bit loses hydraulic HP.

It only gets worse on the tougher wells. Longer laterals add drillstring, and you add friction reduction tools to mitigate. To squeeze that beloved 1 bps pressure pulse through the FRT, your DD provider chokes the valve even tighter — and the BHA pays again. The reach you bought the friction reducers for? You pay for it twice.

MESH™ takes the valve out of the flow path for as much of the well as possible. EM-primary, Pulse dormant as backup. Zero moving parts when EM is doing the work. Your BHA keeps its hydraulics. You keep drilling and setting records. Stop compromising.

Stop Bundling Your DD Package

Why the bundle is not advantageous.

We get it — you like your directional provider. But they don’t have the best of everything. Maybe they have the best motor. Maybe they have the rotary steerable you prefer. Maybe it’s the DDs. But as a drilling engineer, your job is performance. You want the best mud, the highest-capacity rig, the most optimum drill bits.

Why would you compromise on sub-par MWD because “it works” or “the package rate saves me $1,000/day”?

How much is it worth to increase your VCL success from 35% to 75%? How much is it worth to save 2–3 trips per pad? Why is it acceptable to pay high rotary-steerable damage tickets due to torquer, pad, or turbine damage?

The legacy “it’s good enough” Pulse is your issue. Let us help with your performance.

Positive Pulse — 1986 Tech

  • 1–2 bps, occasionally 3
  • Bottom-mount, 50–60% comms success on RSS
  • Surveys require pumps off, every stand
  • Pulsing valve restricts flow, creates ΔP
  • No downlinking without parameter changes

Quantum MWD — 2026

  • 4–24 bps decoded at surface, 32 bps peak
  • Top-mount, 98% comms success on leading RSS platforms
  • Surveys during connections — no pumps-off
  • No moving parts, no flow restriction
  • EM downlinking changes the tool on the fly
